BASED ON HIS OWN RESEARCH!!!
ALEXANDER’S METHOD STARTED IN 2006.
“CUERPO PRESENTE: The Inner Beast” we will be focusing on four pillars:
1. Emotional States, ‘awareness’.
2. Physicality skills, ‘research in motion’.
3. Spiritual Conscience, ‘Inner connection’
4. Mental health, ‘self love’.
Who can take place: All MEN - all ages! Forget the notion that dance is only for trained artists—Alexanders approach breaks down barriers and begins with the simple act of MOVEMENT.
No experience is required. Professionals in any scenic area are also welcome.
What you will achieve and what you can expect:
* Personal and spiritual growth
* Allowing your "inner beast" to express itself
* Purpose, personal intention
* Transformation through experience and energy flow
* Improvisation as a technique
* Attention and decision-making skills
* Alexander will require you to give your best and to value your possibilities.
* Laugh and make fun of yourself
* Allow yourself to be strange, quirky and sometimes silly
* To understand that sometimes it is not easy but it is a reflection of life
* Understand that whatever happens its beautiful
* Physical functions or ergonomic concepts: gravity, resistance, vectors of three-dimensional space, etc.
* Partnering work - involving body contact.
* Soft contact to adjust your body in posture corrections.
THE METHODOLOGY is developed through concrete patterns of improvisation in altered states with different physical development and/into methods of meditation. Which are then framed in a real social context, or unreal. A conscious laboratory work using improvisation as a technical tool. The session will combine other movement techniques and challenging tasks. It is a very physical research depending on your own level. EACH ONE, from their own perspective and their experience, will illustrate the audience with their ideas, fears, insecurities, questions and contradictions. Together with the creation process, we will frame it in an actual social context. What reflections do we do? How do we reach a physical or emotional state and transform it without losing our essence, our spirit? What tools do we use? How to recreate a clear space in another symbolically and develop the ability to play with it?
Alexander believes life is a journey. During the journey, it is possible to identify emotions and themes which are consciously transformed into performative states, physical risk, mental and spiritual practices. Alexander explores the body from different perspectives of contemporary dance techniques and emotional states.
